Personal Project: Bananas
Bananas was born off a game jam with the theme of profit. The goal was to see what a 2d farming sim could be like, aimed at mobile audiences and later adapted to widescreen formats. Banana farming is simple, fish, farm, and catch critters! There is a demo up on itch.io for free from the end of the jam, but I've been working on it further and it remains in development on and off.
A more recent showing of the progress made on Bananas, a stamina bar, tools slide-out icon, birds and clouds sailing by, the player sleeps on the hard ground because they didn't get in their hammock by the end of the day.
In Bananas the sun and moon are your clock, as time passes they fall in the sky. Days also pass, allowing the player to plant and grow crops like bananas over many days until the trees bear fruit.  Fishing passes the time, supplying a base amount of income to build on with farming.
